With my job search failing, I felt like I should take some risks with my career. It was a long shot, but I was convinced that I could do one particular job better than the current occupant, regardless of how under-qualified I was.

  Times are tough and jobs are hard to come by. You can’t really afford to pass up employment opportunities for the sake of one class, however important it might be.
